Viscous, aromatic, tender millet porridge is a hearty and healthy breakfast loved by many. Pumpkin can be used either fresh or frozen. Before cooking, millet should be thoroughly rinsed in warm water. It is best to soak it in boiling water for a couple of minutes so that the bitterness comes out of the grain. For taste, you can add raisins, dried apricots and coconut milk to the porridge. In a slow cooker, the porridge turns out to be especially tasty due to the fact that it simmers at the right temperature with the lid closed, like in a Russian oven.
