Cutlets are a product made from minced fish or meat, the birthplace of which is France. Translated from French, “cutlet” means “on the rib.” Initially, the French ate roasted beef on the bones. Then, with the advent of cutlery, they began to chop meat and prepare cutlets. The final recipe for cutlets appeared in the 18th century, and then quickly spread throughout the world. Nowadays, each nation prepares cutlets in its own way: they use different meats, spices, fillings and additives.
